Setting a password
You can now set a password for your account—no more digging through your inbox for login codes every time you sign in.
Code login is still available if you prefer it, but passwords make it much faster (and easier!) to jump back into your writing. And yes—you can set whatever weird password your heart desires as long as it meets our authorization provider's requirements.
Note: When you set a password, Ellipsus will log you out of your active sessions. You’ll need to log back in on each device.
How to set your password
Go to your Settings page.
Enter your desired password.
Confirm, and you’re all set.
Password requirements:
>10 characters
Minimum zxcvbn score >3
Not listed as a breached password in haveibeenpwned
Password recovery
Ellipsus cannot see your password or reset it for you. If you forget your password, you will need to log in with a one-time code, then reset it from your account settings page.
