Browser support
Ellipsus is designed to work across all modern browsers—but some browser configurations can cause issues with syncing, lag, or visual glitches.
While we don’t officially support or block specific browsers, here’s what we recommend for the best experience.
Browsers that work well with Ellipsus
Chrome ≥ 109
Edge ≥ 126
Safari (macOS) ≥ 15.6
Safari (iOS) ≥ 15.8
Firefox ≥ 115
Firefox for Android ≥ 130
Opera ≥ 113
Opera Mobile ≥ 80
Samsung Internet ≥ 28
Android Chrome ≥ 129
UC Browser for Android ≥ 15.5
If you're using one of these and still running into trouble, check extensions, your connection, and make sure you're on the latest available version.
Browsers that may cause issues
We’ve seen issues pop up from:
Outdated browser versions—especially those more than a few releases behind.
Specialty browsers that interfere with device storage or network access (e.g. certain niche or third-party mobile browsers).
Heavy privacy browsers that restrict network traffic, access to device storage, or clear cache on closing.
These issues can affect syncing, overall performance, and visual bugs.
Important: We do not recommend using Ellipsus in Incognito Mode or Guest Mode. These prevent data from being saved in your browser—so if something goes wrong, it will be difficult for us to help you recover it.
Not sure if your browser is causing the issue?
If something feels off—like frequent sync issues, text lagging behind your typing—try Ellipsus in a different browser or a recently updated device. If the issue disappears, your original browser setup was likely the culprit.
