Upload images
You (and your collaborators) can upload an unlimited number of images to your docs and drafts. Ellipsus supports JPG, JPEG, PNG, and SVG files up to 512KB.
There are multiple ways to add images to your works:
Format menus: Click or tap the picture icon in the formatting bar or formatting panel and follow the onscreen instructions to add an image.
Drag and drop: Select a file on your computer or tablet and drag it into the editor.
Copy and paste: Copy an image from your device, or from a web browser, and paste it into the editor.
Edit, replace, and delete images
Click or tap on the top-right corner of your image to take the following actions:
Edit details: Give your image a title and alt text to make it more accessible.
Replace: Swap out the current image with a new one. If you’ve previously set the title and alt text, the new image will inherit those details.
Delete: Remove the current image from a document or draft. (Deleted images will be available in version history—in the future, we will introduce an option to permanently delete an image.) You can also delete images the way you’d delete text in your document.
You can also resize images. Click (or tap) on an image and drag the bottom-right corner to make your image larger or smaller.
Current limitations
Images are a brand new to Ellipsus. While we work on improvements, please keep the following in mind.
Images don’t follow alignment options just yet—for now, they’re always left-aligned.
Like text, images can’t be moved in a doc via drag and drop.
Duplicating a document won't duplicate its images.
Image links in Markdown files will not be imported.
Images currently cannot be exported and image links cannot be shared outside of Ellipsus.
